The Fraternity's aim is to contribute to the expansion of the acknowledge of Navarra wines.
The members of this fraternity have to sand-out for either their scientific, cultural or technical labour in favour of the wines of Navarra. When they agree to belong to this Fraternity, they accepted to spread the characteristics and virtues of Navarra wines; to organize; sponsor and promote the right consumption of wine; to display the traditional and cultural values of wine; to promote the new harvests, the new wines and to collaborate in making a better wine in Navarra.

The Fraternity is part of a long lasting wine-growing tradition of Navarra, old of 20 centuries. The growing of vine and the elaboration of wine in this land has not only been an important factor in its economy but also in its culture.

The Fraternity of Navarra wines have a substantial impact on the production, elaboration and over all the promotion of Navarra wines.

ACTIVITIES

The Fraternity develops a rank of activities all along the year in order to motivate the members of the Fraternity and to attain its targets. In addition to the reunions of the Great Council, the General assemblies and other meetings, the fraternity also organises:

  1. The naming of new members. This investiture is turned into a media event since many of the members are much known.
  2. Navarra wine contest: The Fraternity awards a wine of each category (white, white kept in barrel, young and old red, rosé, sweet...).
  3. Vendimia Party:
    (September): grape harvest party.
  4. Presentation of the new wines (November): tasting of the new wines presented by oenologists.
  5. Tasting classes: the Fraternity organises all along the year tasting classes, for the members of the Fraternity but also for the public in general. The aim is to increase the knowledge of the wine culture.
  6. Talks, conferences on wines.
  7. Photography Contest.
