La Vinoteca was established in 1980 by Luis Fernandez Olaverri, President of the Navarra Wine Fraternity during 10 years and member of the Regulating Council (Consejo Regulador) which grants the Appellation of Origin of Navarra wines.

His stores, located in Pamplona, Spain, have been gaining each and every year a larger importance not only because of his way of working, his philosophy, but also because the people who work in those stores have been transforming the stores into a place where wine is glorified and converted into a culture.

We are aware that selling wine has to be done in a different way, that we have to sell it by teaching and sharing the moments of joy that the wine can bring you.
Furthermore, there is in la Vinoteca a wild range of wines so that all kind of tastes can be satisfied.

Indeed, la Vinoteca's aim is to have the wines that have just been awarded, or the coming-out of the new vintages.

In la Vinoteca, the customers are treated as friends and with the same respect that we show to wine. The customers can have access to information and bibliographies, but also find all kinds of accessories.
Furthermore, they can become members of "la Cata Club" and take part in presentations of wine, conferences, classes of tasting, winery visits, and all types of cultural activities related to wine that are unfold throughout the Club la Cata.
Since its creation, in 1995, until now, there have been more then a hundred presentations and activities. It can be presentations of cellars and awarded wines, tasting of wines, of Champagne, Cavas ( a Spanish kind of Champagne), Pacharan (the typical Navarra's liquor) whisky, and even olive oil.
